American Crime
Summary:
Network: FOX
Release: Fall 2006
This hour long drama centers on the world of L.A.'s high powered lawyers who manage to use the details of the law to get their celebrity clients off the hook. The show will focus on the forensics of the law.
Cast and Crew:
Eamonn Walker, Kerr Smith, Rebecca Mader, and Victor Garber star in American Crime. Walker was last on "Oz". Kerr is one of those Dawson's Creek boys (hey, doesn't that other guy have a pilot too? yep). Mader was on the cancelled Conviction and of course Garber was agent Jack Bristow on Alias.
Our Take:
We aren't as optimistic nowadays with Bruckheimer's projects because it feels like he tries to throw an entire plate of spaghetti on the wall just to get a few noodles to stick. Not to mention we heard this pilot was in the works for last Fall, but was bagged. This is usually bad news. The writing team has CSI and Cold Case alumni, so there is still hope. The show has a neat little twist to the same old crime procedural that everyone is sick of, and that is another positive. We are skeptical, but think FOX is hardup enough for dramas that they might just pick it up for Fall.
