Help Me Help You
Summary:
Network: ABC
Release: Fall 2006
A brilliant pyschoanalyst (played by Ted Danson) is watching his life unravel before his eyes...and so is his therapy group. This single camera comedy is about the interactions of a diverse group who all come together for therapy.
Cast:
Danson hasn't been on tv since his stint on the mediocre sitcom "Becker". Danson will also be returning this fall to play at least 7 episodes in the much talked about crime drama on NBC "Heist". This role will have him playing a cop.
Charlie Finn, Jim Rash, and Alexandra Rushfield have also been cast in the project. You will remember (or maybe not) Finn from the 2005 remake of "The Dukes of Hazzard" and the shortlived comedy on FOX in 2005 called "Life on a Stick".
Jim Rash was the VERY memorable "Andrew" from Comedy Central's "Reno 911". Alexandra Rushfield was the mind behind the very under-acclaimed "Undeclared" on Fox.
Our Take:
If Danson can harken back to his "Cheers" days, this could be a new comedy to watch. Of course, the writing needs to be there before this can happen. It is far too difficult to tell at this point.
