Play Nice

Summary:
Network: CBS
Release: Fall 2006
A comedy about an irresponsible brother and responsible sister than run a family toy factory together.

Cast and Crew:
Fred Willard, Timm Sharp, and Sara Rue have been cast in this comedy pilot for "the eye". Fred Willard is a well known actor known recently for his recurring roles on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and for his recent work on the final installment of the "American Pie" triology. Sara Rue had a mildly popular show on ABC called "Less than Perfect" that ran for 3 seasons before being pulled in 2004. Tom McGowan has also signed on. His most recent work was on "The War at Home" as "Joe" and "Everybody Loves Raymond".

The writers/eps are Lew Schneider, Tucker Cawley, and Phil Rosenthal all of whom are from "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Our Take:
Despite the lame premise (which might just end the show itself), the writers and executive producers are solid. They know how to make a winning comedy. They certainly have a decent little cast with Willard, Rue, and McGowan to work with. So the pieces are there, only time will tell.

We expect the show to get strong considering for a pickup come Spring due to the writing team.
